About oval diamond rings

An oval is a long, rounded centre stone, and its length to width ratio decides how slender it looks.
Sizes
The centre diamonds measure from about 7.9 × 5.6 mm to about 18.4 × 11.8 mm, the longer side first. Their length to width ratios run from about 1.38 to 1.55. Across a UAE size 52 finger (about 16.55 mm across), the short side of the stone covers 34 to 71 percent; a stone set sideways covers its longer side.
