The piece
From above, a single oval diamond on a slim polished band. From the side, the surprise: a halo of 22 small diamonds set under the crown, so the stone seems to float on light.

The stone
The oval is cut long, about 10.5 by 7.3 mm, which reads larger than a round of the same weight and lengthens the finger. Four claws hold it low to the hand.
