A solitaire holds one diamond on a plain or slim band.
Shapes
This setting comes in oval (8), round (6), marquise (5), radiant (1), pear (1) and emerald (1). The centre diamonds measure from about 6.4 × 6.4 mm to about 15 × 7.5 mm. A ring's own page lists its centre stone and every side stone.
