About pear diamond rings
The rings
3 of our 48 diamond rings have a pear centre diamond: Pear Bypass Solitaire Ring, Pear Marquise Shoulders Ring and Pear Halo Pavé Ring. A pear has a rounded end and a point, and the point is the part a setting has to protect.
Sizes
The centre diamonds measure from about 9 × 5.7 mm to about 12.1 × 7.6 mm, the longer side first. Their length to width ratios run from about 1.58 to 1.68. Across a UAE size 52 finger (about 16.55 mm across), the short side of the stone covers 35 to 46 percent; a stone set sideways covers its longer side.
