Two folded loops and a small square knot, carved in solid 18K gold and polished until the ribbon looks soft. It catches light on every fold, so the ring moves even when your hand doesn't.

A band of beads
Instead of a plain shank all round, rows of tiny polished spheres run up both sides and meet a smooth, flat base at the bottom: it feels like a fine bracelet on the finger, sits flat and comfortable against neighbouring rings, and gives the bow a base with texture of its own.
