A marquise is a long, boat-shaped diamond with a point at each end.
Sizes
The centre diamonds measure from about 11.3 × 5.9 mm to about 15 × 7.5 mm, the longer side first. Their length to width ratios run from about 1.75 to 2.15. Across a UAE size 52 finger (about 16.55 mm across), the short side of the stone covers 35 to 45 percent; a stone set sideways covers its longer side.
