# How to Find Your Ring Size at Home (UAE, EU and US Sizes)

Most rings that come back for resizing were measured in the morning, when fingers are smallest, or bought a size up "to be safe". Neither is necessary. Here is how to get it right at home.

## Method 1: a ring you already own

Lay a ring that fits the intended finger on a ruler and measure the inside diameter in millimetres. Then read across:

Mazimo product pages give the size as the inside diameter in millimetres, the way rings are sized across the Gulf: a size 17 ring is 17 mm across, which is EU 53 to 54 or US 6¾. European sizes are the circumference instead, which is why the numbers in the second column are roughly three times larger.

## Method 2: your finger

Wrap a strip of paper snugly around the base of the finger, mark where it overlaps and measure the length in millimetres. That is the circumference; divide by 3.14 for the diameter. Do it in the evening, at room temperature, three times, and take the middle reading.

## When to size up

- Bands wider than 6 mm, like sculpted 21K statement rings: half a size up.
- Large knuckles: size for the knuckle, and choose a design that sits low so it does not spin.
- Summer in the Gulf: fingers swell; measure on a warm day if the ring is for daily wear.

## When to size down

Slim bands and signets under 3 mm wide sit tighter than they feel in the shop; if you are between sizes, take the smaller.

## Bangles

A bangle is sized by its inside diameter. Squeeze your thumb into your palm and measure the widest part of the hand with a tape; add nothing. Most women's bangles are 60 to 64 mm across, and slim bangles go on more easily than wide ones.

## If it is still not right
